Stationery and Co. Spring Ideas:

Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about something more colorful and relaxing than makeup and skincare; hand lettering, stationery and colorful pens. Yeah for Spring Season!
First of all I’m going to say that I get the majority of my ideas and creative inspirations from Pinterest, where I always find amazing tips and tricks.

So, in this post I will show you some great color pens, a bunch of lovely notebooks, and a lot of black pens with different tip sizes to write motivational quotes or to draw cute illustrations in your bullet journal.

I will also talk about my picks for a good starter pack for those girls that would love to have a cute and colorful planner or bullet journal, but don’t know how to properly start one. Hope that this will help a little bit!

A cute clear notebook.

You can use it as a notebook-meets-bullet journal, or to write inspiring quotes, or whatever words you feel the need to put down on paper. It is a very helpful tool because you can keep track of your daily meetings, appointments, tasks etc., and also it can be a very good synthesis of your best personal ideas and strategies to improve and organize your daily life. Moreover, it’s so refreshing and calming to write, in your own handwriting, whatever you want in a beautiful journal, after spending so much of our day (and sometimes night) online, on devices and apps.

 – My beloved black Sakura Pigma Micron Fine Pens in the numbers 005, 01, 02, 05.

These are excellent drawing pens that are also pretty good for writing, too. They have a precise, strong and consistent line with a great pigmented ink that is fade resistant and will not smudge or transfer/stain the paper below. They’re available in red, green, blue and, of course, black. Moreover, the barrel is a good comfortable length, the cap posts securely and the weight is just fine.

– Color Pens Giotto Turbo Giant and Turbo Glitter in Pastel.

I have been searching for these color pens for a very long time, then a couple of days ago I have finally found them… yeah!!! The Turbo Giant have a felt-tip that writes a 1mm line. The shades are super pastel, so light and spring-ish, but the ink is great because it writes and color in very well and doesn’t stain the back of your sheet.

The Turbo Glitter, on the other hand, have a fun and bright colors thanks mostly to the glitters in the ink (so your words will spark under the lights or glow under the sun like a unicorn mane ;-). But you have to be careful with these one because if you put down too much pressure you can easily stain the paper below.

The amazing Guangdong Genvana Brush Pens.

I have recently bought these amazing brush pens on Amazon. I have them in three different tips sizes:

– the first one has a medium tip size;

– the second one has a long brush tip that gives a sharply defined line with wide variation in width. It’s possible to get very fine lines, with care, and, on the other hand, big broad strokes;

– the last one has a hard fairly fine tip (this one gives a good sharp and consistent line).

I really like their ink because it’s the best I have ever used with a good pigmented color that will dry fairly quickly and then fade a bit with a textured brush effect. These great brush pens have a good brush tip, but you need to be careful and put down just the right amount of ink; too much pressure and you can easily stain the paper below.

Some cute and colorful washi tapes.

I love washi tapes! I always use them to decorate my bullet journal and my Filofax organiser. It’s a relaxing 5 minutes hobby and during a blue Monday (or any other “blue” day, actually) you can look at them and smile a little bit.

– Post-It Notes in different shapes and Letters Stamps.

For a little vintage touch I love to use Letters Stamps. And Post-It Notes in different shapes are great to stick everywhere on your bullet journal just for fun or as reminders for important appointments/dates.

This is it, my cute, funny and useful bullet journal guide kit. I hope you will like it.

So, what about you? Have you ever used a bullet journal?

How do you decorate it? I would love to hear you ideas!

Autumn/Fall Favorites: Beautiful Trendy Lipsticks:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it’s a makeup day review because we are going to talk about my top lipsticks for this A/W season! 🙂
For this season the trend is to wear dark shades, but also shine/metallic lipsticks to start a gorgeous and positive week.

So, in this post I will talk about five lipsticks that I’m going to wear the most this A/W season:

1- Nyx Liquid Suede in Stone Fox:

It seems that for this Fall/Winter season every shade of grey will be the new black. So, very trendy!

Now you can openly summon your inner Goth queen and go for one of the boldest shade around: dark grey. My favorite is Nyx Liquid Suede in Stone Fox, a beautiful dark gray with blue undertones. This is the lipstick that I wore for the opening of the NYX shop at the mall in my city; it is a great, highly pigmented, long lasting and matte finish liquid lipstick, plus it is a true beauty bargain! I have tested it and I can honestly say that it lasts for about 4/5 hours without fading – it remained perfect from my morning university classes to the evening, if you don’t eat or drink. This liquid lipstick has a creamy texture at first, but then the finish is really matte, and so comfortable to wear that once it’s dried down you forget it’s even there.

What’s not good about it: Yes, it has long lasting properties, but when it fades it’s not pretty. The formula settle into lip lines, making them very apparent, and, sadly, the color flakes with pieces of lipstick coming off in chunks, particularly towards the corners of your mouth. So, when the product starts to fade, I would recommend taking it off your lips ASAP and apply a brand new coat .

Moreover, this is a bold, unusual shade, so I would recommend to follow the good old advice; try it before buying it… meaning, try it and see if this unique shade looks great on you and really compliments your skin tone, or not at all!

I really love the color range of this NYX collection, plus they aren’t pricey and have a fantastic velvet-matte finish.

You can find it here

2- Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Whipped Blush:

I absolutely love this product but, to be honest, I have a love/hate feeling about the color. The shade is a gorgeous bright pink, but too much shimmery for my taste. The texture slicks on easily, leaving a juicy color and a glossy shine finish.

Word of advice; once the creamy-liquid texture sets for good, in less than an hour, the formula starts to feel too dry, so for comfortable wear use a good lip balm underneath it.

The color quality is strong, so it stays on all day without smudging, plus it’s a bargain!

According to the Internet, this A/F season will see the return of the liquid lipstick/gloss with a light shine finish, so I think this is the perfect shade to master this trend. Also, you will be as radiant as the pink clouds kissed by the sun before a beautiful winter sunset 😉

3- Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Rosepout

A quick swipe of a nude, warm lipstick never goes out of style, so it’s the perfect choice for an everyday classy look this Fall season.

I love this lipstick because, at least for me, it’s the perfect shade of nude (a lovely subtle dusty rose), and it has a strong color quality. Also, its satin finish texture feels lightweight throughout is wear time, and its creamy formula is easy to apply.

For this one you don’t need to apply a lip balm underneath, thanks to the good moisturizing ingredients that Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick contains.

If you are on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick to wear this Fall/Winter season, you have to try this; I adore it and I guarantee you will not be disappointed! It is a little pricey, but the color and the quality are amazing, so totally worth your money.

4- YSL Rouge Volupte Aqua Shine Effect in Violet Incognito:

A dark purple shade is perfect for a season that it is warm but also cool. And I love this bold color!

This lipstick is amazing; it has the highly pigmented color of a lipstick, with the comfortable, lightweight and hydrating feeling of a lip balm.

The formula is packed with moisturizing emollients, such as Pomegranate extracts, Candellila resins and Hyaluronic Acid Spheres, all great ingredients to protect and nourish your lips. If you want the color to really pop-up, I would recommend using a good lip pencil in a similar color of the lipstick. A good lip liner can also help to prevent the movement of the color into the fine lines around your mouth.

The rich color of YSL Rouge Volupte Aqua Shine Effect in Violet Incognito wears well and fades evenly, leaving a bit of a stain behind. But, like I said before, if you want to maintain the bold color through all the night/day you will need to use a lip pencil and reapply the product after 3/4 hours.

The sad part is that this is a luxury product, so it is on the pricey side, but if you’re going to splurge on a designer lip color, I can assure you that this won’t disappoint you or your wallet! 😉

5- Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting in Empowered:

I absolutely love this lipstick! Red lips are always a classic great choice, particularly during the Fall/Winter season. And there is nothing like a red lipstick to power up your look! Moreover, this shade of red is gorgeous: it has a medium pigmentation with a beautiful and subtle crystalline shine. Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting glides smoothly across your lips due to its creamy texture and fades to an attractive satin finish after about five hours. It also feels comfortable and lightweight during its entire wear time. You don’t need to use a good lip balm underneath it because the formula is really hydrating, but if you want to obtain the perfect all day makeup look you can pair it with a good lip pencil.

I have the travel size of this lipstick because it was a gift; I love that it is small and you can put it literally in every confined spot of your clutch/bag/pocket… etc. I have to be honest, this is a luxury product, so it’s pricey, but I can assure you that this amazing lipstick is worth your money (and if I you will be able to find the travel size, lucky you, go for it without thinking too much).

Review of Neve Cosmetics Pastello Pencils and Manga Brow Eyebrow Pencil:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it is a makeup day review, so we are going to talk about the Pastello Pencils and the Manga Brow Pencil from Neve Makeup Cosmetics. 🙂

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants creamy, matte, long lasting and very pigmented lips/eyes/brows pencils that also have an outstanding quality, are really affordable and suitable for vegans.

What’s good about it?

I have used Neve Cosmetics Pastello Pencils for almost 2 years now and I love them; they are really amazing!

Their formula is natural and silicones, petrolatum and parabens free. They are also cruelty-free and suitable for vegans.

I have the Pastello Eyeliner Liquirizia/Black, which is a classic deep black pencil with a matte finish. This pencil is perfect to use as a classic eye pencil, eyeliner or as a base to create a great smokey eyes makeup. It has a slightly creamy texture that blends on smoothly on your eyelids with a matte color finish that lasts throughout the day/night without bleeding!

I also have the Pastello Lipcolor Pencils in Sfilata/Amaranth, Confetto/Lilac, Pianeta/Purple and Coccinella/Pink. This lip pencils also have a slightly creamy texture that blends on evenly on the lips with a matte finish that sets instantly and won’t budge all day/night long. Moreover, these pencils do a great job keeping lipsticks from bleeding outside the lip lines, and when applied as a base coat to the lips, they also help your lipstick last longer, even through lunch, brunch, dinner, aperitif, night drink, afternoon tea etc. etc. 😉

They are also amazing used on their own as a lip color, but if you like to wear them as a lip color I would recommend applying a good lip balm underneath because they can be quite drying. [You can read a post about my favourite lip balms here].

The shade range is great and includes various tones that complement most lipstick colors.

I also love the Neve Cosmetics Pastello Pencils because, thanks to their natural formula, you can use them everywhere on your skin, on your eyes and on your lips… you can truly unleash your makeup creativity! 🙂

For example, I often use the eye pencils on the lips under a coordinated lipstick; they do an amazing job as well and last all day/night! 😉

Last, but not least, for my brows I use the great Neve Cosmetics Manga Brow Eyebrow Pencil. They are double-ended wooden pencils with two colors, one light and the other darker, and a spoolie brush to draw and tame the eyebrows. I love this Manga Brow Pencil because is perfect to create full eyebrows that look natural, plus is easy to use, affordable and long lasting. First I go for the lighter color to draw the shape of my eyebrow, then I use the darker color to add definition and fill in the empty areas using light strokes. Last I comb my eyebrows with the included brow brush. I have this one in the shade warm blonde and soft brown, but they come in 5 different shades suitable for all eyebrows tones.

•You can buy them here.

*unfortunately some of the shades I have mentioned in this post are no longer available, so sorry! But you can choose similar colors from the new collection.

What’s not so good about it?

Nothing, really! The quality of these pencils is amazing, the formula is vegan and they are also low-cost; a really beauty bargain! The only “negative” point about this products is that you will have to sharpen them with a lip pencil sharpener after a couple of applications. That means that some product is wasted each time you sharpen them, but it is really a minor issue thanks to the low and affordable price of these products.

Final thoughts!

If you are looking for low-cost lips/eyes/brows pencils that have a good quality and long lasting properties look no further, these are perfect. I promise you want be disappointed! Note to myself: buy soon other shades of these amazing pencils! 😉

My favorite Spring lipsticks:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today we are going to talk about my favorite Spring lipsticks:

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Violet:

This is a super comfortable liquid lipstick with a really matte finish that won’t dry out your lips. Also, its lightweight formula makes this product very comfortable to wear.

This comes in a squeeze tube with a sponge angled applicator that dispenses the product, so it applies easily

The gel-like texture is smooth, extraordinary pigmented and stays on your lips for hours, no need to use a similar lip-pencil.

The quality of the color is very good; you do not need too much product to get a beautiful shade on your lips.

P.S: After approximately 4/5 hours the color is going to fade to an attractive stain, so then you will need to go for a quick re-touch. 😉

You can buy it here: IT US UK

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté in Rose Neillia (33):

This is a gorgeous coral/peachy shade that I really enjoy using especially during the hot Spring/Summer days.

The texture is silky, with the hydrating feeling of a lip balm; the color is very rich, pigmented as a lipstick – so I would say that YSL Rouge Volupté is a hybrid between a classic lipstick and a good lip balm.

Is really comfortable to wear, but the creamy texture can easily move into the fine lines around your mouth, so I would recommend using a lip contour pencil.

Yes, this is a designer luxury product, so it’s pricey, but I can assure you that this is an amazing product and it’s worth your money!

This lipstick will last on your lips approximately 5/6 hours, without eating or drinking! 😉

You can buy it here: IT US UK

Lancôme Rouge in Love High Potency Lip Color in Pink Bon Bon:

This is the perfect summer pink shade, at least for me!

I really love the creamy texture and the semi-matte finish of this lipstick. Also, thanks to a great silicone-based formula, you will get an impressive amount of staying power, 5/6 hours without a re-touch.

This richly pigmented lipstick has a really creamy texture, yet is also lightweight and beautifully silky.

Again, even this one is a luxury product, so it’s really expensive, but I can assure you that this is an awesome product and it’s definitely worth your money!

No lip contour pencil needed for this one! 🙂

You can buy it here: US UK IT

Mac Matte Royal Lipstick:

This is an “unusual” shade that maybe not everyone will like or buy, but you know me, I’m obsessed with lipsticks and the more strange they are the most I love them! 😉

This is supposed to be a deep blue, but on my lips the color it’s kind of an indigo shade; I think it depends on your lips and the differences between natural or artificial light.

The finish is truly matte, so it’s bit drying, too; you will definitely need to apply a good lip balm underneath this one. [A few months ago I did a post about my favorite lip balms here].

This shade is gorgeous, at least in my opinion, very bold and deeply pigmented. It also provides a full-coverage color and really matte/non-glossy finish.

The problem with this lipstick is in the way it wears, and fades. Sadly, it fades unevenly, and only after a couple of hours, it begins to flake on your lips, so you will have to not only re-touch it, but literally re-apply the product again. 😦

No lip pencil needed with this one, but I would recommend, at least, a similar lip contour pencil.

You can buy it here: IT US UK

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in 02 Raspberry:

I know, this is not a classic lipstick, but it is an amazing product for the hot Spring/Summer days/nights; it’s perfect when you want a natural but also a little bit shiny look for a casual night out.

This lip product is soothing, shiny without being too sticky and has a really great sponge-tip applicator.

Also, it is designed to nourish, protect and soften the lips, which it does, extremely well.

So, in the end, I would say that this is an emollient, gel-like lip gloss that moisturizes while imparting sheer, a little juicy color and a minimally sticky feeling. Plus, I really love the scent of this lip oil, it makes me think of a raspberry pie!:)

This is pricey for a “simple” lip moisturizing product, but you will only need a tiny amount on your lips, so a little bit goes a long way. And it’s worth your money because in the end your lips will be luminous, hydrated and very kissable! 😉

Autumn is here! Winter is coming… These are my best nail polishes for the season!

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to talk about nail polishes, because we all want to have a perfect manicure, especially now that the Holidays – with the capital “H” 😉 – are coming!
I have sort out my nail polish collection, and this are the 4 brands that I love the most and I want to show you today:

• O.P.I.

• Essie

• Formula X

• Illamasqua.
I have tested this brands for a very long time, and now it’s time to review them and make a little chart! 😉

I will start saying that this nail varnishes are very good, they come in a beautiful range of colors and they stay on your nails for several days… with a good primer as a base and a good top coat [ I use the Rimmel ones].

The textures and the formulations allow you to make one coat and have a good coverage, but if you want a “WoW!” effect then fear not and apply a second or third coat.

The brushes are thin, but at the same time thick, so they are able to apply the product on your nails perfectly without smudging it on your fingers!

The colors are super pigmented and they will give you a super cute and classy manicure. Also, I have tested them and they will stay in place even if you need to wash the dishes after dinner… without gloves on! [uh… I know the best thing in the world to do before bed time! 😦 ].

O.P.I. has a gorgeous range of colors and a very very good quality! I know, they are pricey but also worth every penny, believe me! If you don’t want to change your nails color every day this brand is a must have, the texture is so strong that will stay on your nails for at least 7/8 days!

Essie has many beautiful colors and the most brilliant funny names. The brush gathers the perfect amount of product for your nails. When I first had a go with this brand, I must say that I was incredibly impressed with the formula and finish. Glossy, easy to apply and relatively quick to dry. Also, the texture is similar to the O.P.I. and they will last you 5/6 days. Another amazing product!

Formula X comes in a very cute little bottle and it is so comfortable that you won’t even remember to have nail varnish on your nails. The polish itself applied on easily and evenly; the formula is amazing and stayed on for almost a week. This brand is a little pricey like Essie and O.P.I., but the product is awesome and worth every penny

P.S: I would recommend to start searching for limited edition mini nail polish sets (like Bottle Service Set here) so you can have more colors to try for a great price!

Illamasqua Scorch is a beautiful and pigmented white! I have searched for many years a white that can cover my nails and not let it see through, so last year I tried this one and I really love it. The formula is excellent with two coats dishing out the perfect amount of opaqueness and it doesn’t last too badly. I usually get about 5/6 days out of it before it starts to crack on the surface and look way too frayed to stay on. So, this white is perfect for the next snowy winter season.

P.S. I would recommend not to change colors on your nails very often because you will dry them out. I usually leave a bit of breathing time between colors so my nails can rest and regenerate themselves! 🙂

•You can buy the OPI here [US] or here [UK] or here [UK]

•You can buy the Essie in Fiji here [UK] or here [US]

•You can buy the Essie in Smokin Hot here [US] or here [UK]

•You can buy the Formula X in Ignite and Starlight here [US] or here [UK]

•Unfortunatly the Illamasqua nail polish in Scorch is no longer available, but if you want to take a look at other colors here is their official website.

Ciao a tutti!

    •O.P.I.

    •Essie

    •Formula X

    •Illamasqua

Back to school stationery must have:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Summer is winding down with the holidays, therefore the sadness and the need to cheer us up. So, how about going to a stationery store and buy some colored and cute stuff for our back to school time!I thought I should write a list of things that might be helpful for taking notes or write down the key-words of the lessons. 😉

1- In the first place you will need a case to hold your pencil, your pen, your highlighters, your mints, your candies, ups… 😉

2- Colored pens to write the title of the lesson and recognize it when you will return home and be like a zombie in “The Walking Dead“.

3- Highlighters to mark important passages of a dialogue when you got a little distracted (this morning outside the window the sky was really blue)!

4- A black and a red pen to write the important words of your teacher on your sheet, as long as the lesson doesn’t become boring and you begin to draw.

5- Glue, to stick everything in place and not on your friend’s arm.

6- A cute little ruler to draw straight lines when math begins to go out of control.

7- A cute eraser because you know you will need it in the hard times.

8- A pencil when you are not sure about it.

9- A little page marker like this pink arrow to open quickly the exercise book and always be on top of things!

10- If you don’t want to miss anything and be a… “good girl”, you can use some super sticky post-it, so they won’t come off easily.

11- And a daily calendar to know everything you are going to do the next day, or maybe even the next week if you are a cute little red fish!

Ciao a tutti!

7 Things (More Or Less) You Should Know Before Dyeing Your Hair With Unusual Colors:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Being boring is well… boring, so this summer trend slogan is… “color your hair purple, green, blue or rainbow as a potent antidote against boredom” 😉

So, because it’s a trend this summer and I don’t want to be boring, I’m going to talk about unusual hair colors!

I’ve always wanted a unique hair color, ever since I was a child and I loved watching and reading anime and manga. Now that I can I have tried many colors and brands in the past couple of years that I thought my experience will be useful to you!

1 – First thing first, for the best results, I would recommend using this unusual colors on bleached, pre-lightened or naturally light blonde hair. I have bleached my hair at the salon with the help of professional people, because it could be difficult doing it on your own at home and you might damage your precious locks! So go to an hairstylist for the safety of your hair!

2 – Now we can talk about the colors that will work well only with bleached, pre-lightened or naturally light blonde hair. I have happily changed many colors in 3 years, so here are my favorite color kits based on simple application and standout results:

          Crazy Color [Official Website]

          and

          Stargazer [Official Website

These are both semi-permanent hair color dyes for direct application to the hair; they allow you to achieve a wide range of vibrant translucent colors. Particularly, Stargazer has an amazing range of colors that are very bright and very pigmented; their formula is really great and can resist on your hair for 2 to 3 weeks at least!

The instructions inside of the hair color box says that you have to wash your hair first, towel dry it and then use the product, but I find out that when you put it on dry hair and only wash it after, the color will maintain the maximum impact on your hair for the maximum length of time! 🙂

3 – Another trick I learned: you can mix the formula with a drop or two of a good white conditioner to sooth your scalp and locks when you put on your dye product!

Also, you must apply a drop of Vaseline or Nivea Cream to your hairline and ears beforehand so that splattered formula doesn’t stain your skin.

4 – Depending on the length and thickness of your hair, you should always buy a few boxes of dye. Someone with below-the-chest strands, may require two or three boxes to get full coverage.

This hair colors (except the silver and white toners) can also be mixed together to produce a wider range of colors.

If you don’t plan on bleaching your hair and dying it with semi permanent unusual colors anytime soon, you can try hair chalks, spray or mascara that will last only one wash or one night. In this case, I would recommend using an hair spray to block the color, otherwise the product will transfer on your clothes or pillowcase!

5 – Shampoo, extensive exposure to sunlight, swimming and hair spray can all cause hair color to prematurely fade. In fact, chlorine and sea water strip away the hair cuticle, allowing minerals in the water to get into the hair shaft and alter your color. So, rather than diving in, sit on the beach or poolside with a large hat on your head for at least two weeks after dyeing your hair.

Certain shampoos, like clarifying or dandruff-fighting formulas, can strip away hair color with sulfates and harsh chemicals. My experience tells me that if you want to keep your brand new color as long as possible you don’t want to wash your hair so frequently as every day, because the color would not last so long! You should also buy a color preserving shampoo, which is more gentle.

6 – Hair always gets a little damaged when applying color, because both permanent and semi-permanent dyes contain harsh chemicals. You must use a good conditioner [like Paul Mitchell – Moisture Super-Charged Moisturizer my review here] every time you need to wash your hair, and a mask at least once a week to moisturize dry hair and restore shine. The mask aids in repairing damaged hair and fortifying strands so they resist further breakage.

7 – Every day millions of people enjoy coloring their hair. However,a small number of them may have an allergic reaction. Check this site to have important information about how to color your hair well and safely.

These crazy hair colors look insanely awesome on everyone and give off a fun, carefree vibe that is sure to step up your style for this summer season.

So go ahead, be creative and not timid! 😉

7 Cose (Più o Meno) Che Dovete Sapere Prima Di Tingervi I Capelli Di Colori Strani

Ciao a tutti!

          Crazy Color [Sito Ufficiale]

          e

          Stargazer [Sito Ufficiale

Alcuni shampoo, come quelli antiforfora o quelli schiarenti, possono farvi sbiadire il colore in fretta perchè contengono solfati e prodotti chimici molto forti.
