Summer Favourites – Review of Zoeva Sweet Glamour Palette:

Hello everyone! Today is a makeup day review, because we are going to talk about a gorgeous summer palette with lovely pastel shades, the Zoeva Sweet Glamour Palette.

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants a light but colorful makeup for a hot summer day or for a fun, relaxing evening.

What’s good about it?

The range of shades goes from a tender sorbet peach to a soft baby blue with a luscious lemon in between, all of them enchantingly glamorous and perfect to create a dreamy day look.

Despite the light pastel colors the pigmentation is really good and, once applied, these eye shadows wore well throughout a standard workday without fading, flaking and with minimal creasing.

Moreover these eye shadows have a very smooth texture and blend beautifully, even if it takes a bit of work to get the color to show up with a beautiful and intense tone.

These powder eye shadows are also enriched with vitamin E, and are 100% free of parabens, sulfates and fragrance.

So, in this palette you will find 10 eye shadows :

Fuzzy Haze – a cold white with a matte finish;

Phantasy Principle – a rose gold tone with a bright finish;

Quite Realistic – a peachy cold shade with a matte finish;

Object To Subject – a lilac cold tone with a bright finish;

Daydream – a purple shade with a matte finish;

Childhood Adaption – a cold light blue with a matte finish;

Wish Fulfilment – a cold green shade with a bright finish;

Artistic Creation – a yellow tone with a bright finish;

Profusion – a brown tone with a matte finish;

Spirits Held Desire – a cold taupe shade with a bright finish.

This palette offers a great mixture of matte and bright finishes, so you can be creative with your eye shadow makeup; it’s perfect for a unique Summer look!

What’s not so good about it?

The only issue with these eye shadows is that the first application doesn’t bring much color in. A single swipe of one of the 10 shades, especially the lighter tones, will results in a light wash of color on the lids. But the texture and the pigmentation are really good, so the colors are all buildable allowing you to apply multiple layers until you’ll reach the shade you wanted from the beginning. Or you can use a damp brush to make the colors show up a little more.

Another ‘not so good’ fact is that you can buy this lovely palette only on Zoeva website.

 Final thoughts!

If you love pastel hues for Summer you really need to try Zoeva Sweet Glamour, it will be a gorgeous addition to your other eyeshadow palettes. You can also create many unique looks mixing these shades with other nude or dark colors. Plus the prize is great, given the quality of the product, the packaging and the 10 different shades.

You can buy it here.

My 5 favorites make up products of 2016:

Hello everyone! 2016 is finally over and we can now decide what makeup we used/liked the most.
My most used and loved makeup products of 2016 are five. I have already talked about some of them in my precedent posts, others are new discovery so there are going to be 2 new mini-review in this post. If you want to know which are my last makeup favorites products of 2016 keep reading.

The last makeup product that I bought in 2016 was the H&M Jumbo Lip Pencil “Lip color-to-go” in the shade “Zinfandel”.
I really enjoyed the shade of this Lip Pencil when I was wearing it, and I also was very impressed with the formula when I was reviewing it. The formula is in fact comfortable to wear, creamy, high pigmented and it offers hours of color-rich wear, even after your morning coffee break. The texture of this lip pencil is a perfect combo between a matte lip pencil and a creamy lipstick; the finish is lovely and it won’t dry out your lips, plus this shade is a must have for the winter season. Moreover, this product is very similar to NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, but way more affordable.
What’s not so good about it: The shade range is very limited.

You can buy it here.
This is one of favorite eye shadow palette, and probably my no.1 makeup product of the year; the Morphe Brushes 35 Colour Plum Eye Shadow Palette (35P).
I especially love the wide selection of neutral and autumnal plum colors, amazing shades to achieve a broad spectrum of makeup effects. Moreover, I was honestly blown away by the great buttery texture of these eye shadows, and by the fact that the shades are as bright on the eyelids as you can see in the palette.
What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. This is beyond doubt a beauty bargain.

You can read my more in-depth review here (with swatches, of course).
Next I have to mention my beloved make up brushes.
I use multiple brands and I always test them in every weather condition, with different products, etc. I’ve also found out that if you wet them with a little spritz of fixing mist, before applying your makeup product, the result will be perfect and long lasting. All of my most used makeup brushes are lovely to use, cruelty free and have a great quality.
What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. But remember to properly and frequently wash your makeup brushes after using them.

I did a full review here , if you are interested.

Now I’m going to talk about the wonderful Pastello Pencils and the Manga Brow Pencil from Neve Makeup Cosmetics.
I would really recommend these pencils from this particular “made in Italy” brand because their quality is outstanding, but they are also very affordable. Neve Makeup Cosmetics lips/eyes/brows pencils are perfect for everyone who wants a creamy, matte, long lasting and very pigmented product. Moreover, their formula is natural, cruelty-free and suitable for vegans. I very much LOVE this pencils.
What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really! The quality and the price tag of these pencils is awesome, they really are a beauty bargain! The only “negative” point is that you have to sharpen them with a lip pencil sharpener after a couple of applications, that means that some product is wasted each time you are going to do that.

Here is my full review.

The last but not least new product that I have bought last year is a mini-size of the notorious Hoola Bronzer from Benefit. I’ve got mine in the travel size version as a free gift from purchasing other Benefit products. I’ve used it since last September and I’ve happily found out that the shade is perfect for my fair skin type. I usually apply it to achieve a believable, light and almost natural tan color on my face, after applying my foundation. I also use it sometimes as a contouring powder to shape and define my cheeks. I love Hoola also because it has a smooth texture, lightly perfect shiny finish, and a lovely shade that is very flattering on fair skin. So, in conclusion, this is an excellent bronzing powder and I will definitely repurchase the full size version!
What’s not so good about it: I would certainly recommend it, but the Hoola Bronzer is a pricey product so try it before buying it.

You can find it here.

My New Years Eve Makeup Ideas:

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all having a nice and relaxing Winter break.
Today we are going to talk about my favorite lips and eye makeup combo for these festive nights and, especially, for NYE.

I like that this makeup is shiny but light, and also not too dark or glitter-ish. So, if you fancy an easy look that will shimmer and glimmer under the 1000 lights of your NYE party, I think you will love this idea.

The three products that I would recommend are all from NYX Cosmetics (I really loved using them for a special holiday night out makeup).

• NYX Lingerie Eye Tint in 10 “ Fame & Fortune” and in 07 “Whimsy”.

Whether you’re having a low-key and relaxing dinner with your dearest friends or spending hours dancing, laughing and having fun at the coolest party in town, you surely want to look amazing for this particular night. They say that you have to wear something red on NYE for good luck, so, aside from your lingerie, why not to be bold and use a red-ish metallic eye shadow? NYX Lingerie Eye Tint in n.07Whimsy” is perfect. This metallic and shiny shade will make your eyes truly pop!

You can also add a little hint of sparkle with this other beautiful shade, number 10 “Fame & Fortune”. It’s a cool metallic silver with a delicate pearl finish.

A weightless creamy eye shadow formula, NYX Lingerie Eye Tint provides a wonderful shade to your eyes, also this is a great highly pigmented, long lasting and easy to blend product. The real “must have” for NYX!

You can use them together to build a gorgeous eyes makeup, or you can blend them easily on a traditional powder eye shadow for an additional sparkling touch; your choice!

• You can find them in every NYX Cosmetics store or here.

The NYX Cosmetics Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in 02 “ Embellishment”.

So, now that you have done your eyes with bold and shiny colors, you have to be light on your lips. I would recommend using a nude lipstick, such as NYX Cosmetics Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in 02Embellishment”. This is a weightless liquid lipstick with a matte finish and a great long lasting formula (it lasts for several hours even if you’ll eat a slice of Panettone or drink a glass of sparkling Prosecco – as we do here in Italy to celebrate New Year at midnight).

This shade has a nude tone with a cool pink undertone, beautiful and easy to wear with every skin tone.

The texture of this product is a little bit drying, so when or if you will have to refresh your makeup throughout the night, I would suggest to use a good lip balm underneath, otherwise this lipstick will dry your lips.

• You can find this liquid lipstick in every NYX Cosmetics store or here.

That’s all for this year, thank you so much for reading my blog ’til the end of 2016! I hope you will follow me and my posts even during 2017. Have a wonderful, safe and fun NYE everyone.

Start Makers Make Up Brushes – Review

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it’s a makeup day review, because I’m going to talk about a great and affordable set of brushes that I bought from Amazon a couple of weeks ago!
1. The Fan Brush:

I’ve been on the hunt for this brush all over the beauty shops that I know and always use since last Summer. Sadly, I’ve been repeatedly out of luck because the one I wanted was always out of stock, so I kept searching until I found out it was inside this Start Makers set. This is a very large brush, shaped as a fan, hence the name. Its super-soft synthetic bristles are perfect to pick up and distribute the right amount of your powder products, such as highlighters along your cheekbones and around your nose or blushers along your cheeks. You can also use this brush to sweep away any product fall out. The bristles are 100% synthetic and super soft on your skin! It’s the perfect brush to pick up and distribute your powder product flawlessly in order to achieve an airbrushed finish. I love this tool and I always use it to apply my favorite blusher, highlighters and sometimes even my face powder.

2. The Oval Foundation/Concealer Brush:

This oval brush, that looks like a giant toothbrush, is the last trendy tool from the South Korean beauty universe. Ergonomically designed, this brush is really easy to use, plus its ultra-soft synthetic bristles can blend your liquid/creamy product smoothly and without wasting too much of it. The best way to utilize this brush is by applying a small amount of cream or liquid primer/foundation/concealer to the back of your hand, then dab repeatedly to fill the brush before using broad strokes to blend the makeup over your face and neck. You can also use the edges of the brush to access small areas, like the skin around your nose etc. At first, I was skeptical regarding the effectiveness of this tool, but now that I have tried it I really love how it can blend beautifully and flawless my foundation/concealer. I adore this brush, and since I’ve started using it I noticed that I can do a better job distributing my liquid foundation with this oval brush instead of with the Beauty Blender sponge. Highly recommended!

3. The Makeup Sponge:

I can honestly say that this looks and feels like the well known Beauty Blender sponge, only it’s cheaper. This remarkably soft sponge allows you to easily and quickly blend your liquid or cream foundation. For the best application, I would recommend at first slightly dampening the sponge, then putting the foundation on the back of your hand. Lastly dip the egg-shaped sponge into the product, and apply it to your face, rapidly “bouncing” it. Since the sponge is really soft, the result will be a uniform and natural-looking coverage. Plus, it’s really easy to clean and re-use; if you will take good care of your sponge, you should probably get a good six months out of it, or maybe even longer (wash it with a gentle, water-soluble cleanser and let it air dry before using it again it’s the best way to clean it. Also, avoid twisting the sponge as the material can easily tear). This is a great, affordable dupe of the Beauty Blender, so if you’re on a budget I would really recommend trying this one.

4. The Silicone Brush Cleaning Egg:

I love this silicone brush cleaning egg because it’s a super-efficient tool that cleans your make-up brushes really fast, thoroughly but yet in a way that is gentle and respects the brushes texture. Also, it makes the unpleasant and boring task of cleaning your make-up brushes much quicker and easier. It has a couple of multi-textured surfaces to simply spot or deep-clean all your brushes; a really good and effective tool. Also, a must have for any die-hard make-up addicted.

Final thoughts:

I would really recommend this kit if you are a makeup obsessed on a budget but want to try some high quality brushes, and also some new trendy tools. Also, they came in a very nice and handy package, making this set a great and affordable Christmas gift for someone who truly is a makeup addicted. So, this set is extremely good and a really beauty bargain.

P.S: This brand has other makeup brushes kits; they look amazing and I can’t wait to try some of them ASAP.

Review of Morphe Brushes 35 Colour Plum Eye Shadow Palette (35P):

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it is a makeup day review, because we are going to talk about the Morphe Brushes 35 Colour Plum Eye Shadow Palette (35P)

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants a good, but not so pricey palette, with a wide selection of neutral and autumnal plum colors to achieve a broad spectrum of makeup effects.

What’s good about it?

This huge palette contains 35 generously sized pans, with a mixture of matte, satin, shimmer and micro-glitter finish shadows. From palest ivory to charcoal, the versatile mix of colors of this palette is so amazing that you can easily create various daytime or nighttime eye shadow looks. But the real stars of this palette are the myriad of beautiful purple tones; brilliant violets sit alongside soft mauves, rich blackberries and warm, autumnal plum colors.

I have already used this palette in various situations such as cold/warm weather with high humidity, and I am really pleased with the results, so far. The eye shadows are designed to be applied dry or even wet to achieve various depths of tones and intensities on the lids.

These eye shadows have a good, slightly buttery texture, and after you have blend them well on your eyelids, they deliver an appreciable color payoff. Also, the shades are as bright on the eyelids as they are in the palette.

The Morphe Brushes 35P Palette is packaged within a black, thin plastic container, really nice and lightweight, but also quite large (it has to be, of course, to contain 35 pans), which does make it not so easy to store if you own multiple palettes; no travel friendly size here, girls! 😉

You can find it here.

What’s not so good about it?

The shades are highly pigmented, but some of them are a little bit on the fallout side, in terms of texture, so you have to work patiently with the brush to blend them on your eyelids for achieving a good level of intensity and durability. But this is a minor setback given the overall quality and the great prize of this huge palette . Also, like I said, I have wear them in many different occasions and if you use a good eye primer underneath, they last all day.

There is also a dark/plum color with so many glitters in it that when you put it on your lids it will fall everywhere; beautiful color, but very difficult to blend properly.

Final thoughts!

So, if you are looking for a very good, extremely versatile, not so pricey and very trendy palette for this Fall/Winter season then this is definitely one to check out. In fact, the quality and pigmentation of Morphe Brushes 35 Colour Plum Eye Shadow Palette (35P) is simply amazing for the price.

Summer Favourites: A great and affordable BB Cream: SVR Sebiaclear BB Cream SPF 20

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it’s a makeup/skincare day review and we are going to talk about a product that I really loved last Summer: SVR Sebiaclear BB Cream SPF 20.

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants a good, non greasy and affordable BB cream for unifying and mattifying oily and acne prone skin.

What’s good about it?

I have been using this BB cream since I have finished my acne treatment, so all these past hot and humid Summer months, and I really loved it. I don’t like to put a full coverage foundation on my skin through the Summer, because here in Italy the heat and humidity can be pretty brutal, so your pricey foundation will melt on your skin in a blink of an eye and you will resemble a dreadful kabuki mask. That said, during Spring and Summer months, I usually replace my foundation with a BB Cream; this year I have tried the new SVR Sebiaclear BB Cream SPF 20.

Its thick, creamy, but lightweight texture is perfect to slightly conceal your imperfections and evens out your complexion in a natural-looking way. This is also a great oil-absorbing product that helps to keep your nose, chin and forehead shine-free throughout the day (but if you need an extra shine control power, you can always use a good pressed powder like the amazing Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder, my review here).

Another amazing quality of this paraben and fragrance free product is that it contains a broad spectrum sun protection (SPF20), which protects your skin from UV damage and prevents marks caused by the sun.

Moreover, SVR Sebiaclear BB Cream SPF 20 contains a very effective skin-restoring ingredient: Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3. Niacinamide improves your skin texture and increases the skin’s barrier functions so that the skin can look and feel more healthy; it also can protect your skin against bacterial infections that can cause acne and blemishes.

Of the two colors offered, I can only speak for the Light shade since it’s the one that suits just about fine my complexion; it blends effortlessly into the skin, blurring pores and other imperfections and offering also a temporary shine control perfect for people with oily skin.

You can find it here.

What’s not so good about it?

Nothing really, this BB cream is an amazing product especially for people with oily or blemishes prone skin, plus it is really affordable! My only complaint is that it only comes in two shades

Final thoughts!

In the end, there’s a lot to love about SVR Sebiaclear BB Cream SPF 20 from its texture that feels great and blends effortlessly into the skin, blurring pores and other imperfections, to its ability to temporarily mattifying your oily skin. Bonus point, it is really affordable. So, I really recommend it!

My 7 Essential MakeUp Brushes and How To Use Them:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it’s a makeup day review, because we are going to talk about my most used and loved makeup brushes and tools! 🙂

First things first, I have a lovely brush roll case from The Vintage Cosmetic Company, to keep all of my make up brushes neat and tidy at home or away. It’s really a cute case with a Spring-ish pattern of flowers printed all over it . It has 12 separate sections to hold each brush in place (but I manage to fit more than 12 in it). 🙂

•You can find the The Vintage Cosmetic Company Brush Roll here.

These are my must-have, favourite brushes at the moment:

P.S: I have collected them from various shops just to see what brand I love the most, what I hate and what I like, so this is a good handful of favourites…

1- Real Technique Setting Brush: The medium size and the rounded shape of this brush are ideal for setting powders and easy blending. This particular brush has a luxuriously soft feel and perfectly balanced density that makes blending effortless and smooth.

The well-crafted brushes of Real Technique are famous and award winning tools; there isn’t a bad brush in this brand, they are all aces when it comes to shape, feel, and, most importantly, performance. Plus they are cruelty free because they are made of synthetic bristles.

How To Use It:

– Apply Powder

– Apply and Blend Blush, Bronzer or Highligther

– Contouring

P.S: I love this brand and I highly recommend it, even if a few days ago my amazing Grooming Brush broke in two parts (I don’t even know way), and I had to throw it away, so sad! 😦

Official Website
2 – Kiko Eyes Brush n.207: This small brush has a dome shape with a slightly pointed end. It is perfect for the precise application of eyeshadows along the line of the eyelashes, in the outer corner and in the crease of the eye. Moreover, it has densely packed and soft hairs that do a great job of picking up and applying powder eyeshadow.

How To Use It:

– Apply Eyeshadows Into Tight Spaces

– Apply Highlighter To Eyes

– Blend or Smudge Eyeshadows Or Eye Pencils

7 – Kiko Precision Foundation Sponges: A classic triangular sponge for makeup application. It easily spreads liquid, cream, and gel foundations, or similar products across the face for a quick and smooth coverage. The pointed tips also works extremely well for applying creamy/gel products in smaller areas like the corners of the eyes or on the sides of the nose. As far as the texture goes, this is a firm, but also soft and flexible sponge, made with hypoallergenic material and latex-free. They are sold in blocks of 4 detachable sponges.

How To Use It:

– Wet or Dry to Apply Creamy, Liquid or Gel Foundation/Products

– The Flat Part To Apply Products Evenly Over The Entire Surface of The Face

– The Angled Part To Apply Products To the More Hard-to-reach corners of The Face

Both the Eye Brush and the Sponges are great quality tools. They are also easy to clean and they maintain their shape through washing and drying. Plus, they are really affordable, hence a beauty bargain!

UK
US

3 – Sephora Pro Bent Liner Brush n. 23:
I have already did a mini review of this brush here. Anyway, it has an elbow-shaped ferrule to easily draw on gel or liquid liner.

How To Use It:

– Apply a Precise and Firm Line of Your Favourite Gel or Liquid Eye Liner

I really love how it works, it is great to create an easy, precise, firm and flawless line of your favourite gel or liquid liner. Moreover, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed with its performance and longevity.

Plus, it is cruelty free because it is made of synthetic Taklon fibers.
UK/US

4 – H&M Eye Shadow Brush (or Flat Shader Eyeshadow Brush):

This brush has densely packed bristles with a flat, slightly rounded end. Also, this sturdy, firm yet soft brush is cut to be workable as a good tool to apply eyeshadow along the lashline, and/or to pack it onto the lid in a patting motion.

How To Use It:

– Apply A Single Eyeshadow To A Small Area

– Blend Eyeshadows Together

– Apply Creamy Eyeshadows or Concealer

Though H&M brushes don’t quite match the quality of the Real Technique brushes, they are well made, affordable and you won’t be disappointed with their performance. They are a really beauty bargain!

5 – The Body Shop Lipstick & Concealer Brush: This brush has extremely dense and ultra-soft bristles that feel exceptionally luxurious on the skin. Moreover, its cruelty-free synthetic bristles won’t retain moisture from liquid or creamy product, so you get a smooth and more even application.

How To Use It:

– Apply Lipstick

– Apply Concealer or Creamy Eyeshadows To A Small Area

– Blend or Smudge Lip Pencils To Fill the Lips

I adore Body Shop Brushes, they are really high quality tools! They work extremely well, they are affordable, considering the great quality, and maintained properly, this brushes will last you for years. I highly recommend them.

UK

US

6- Essence Eye Blender Brush: This is a small, fluffy brush with a rounded end. Its soft, long yet dense bristles are ideal for blending and/or applying eyeshadow.

How To Use It:

– Apply Eyeshadow

– Blend Eyeshadow Colors Together

– Blend Eyeshadow To Create Soft Lines

Though it doesn’t quite match the quality of the Real Technique brushes, this is a very good, affordable drugstore brand to start your I-do-my-makeup-like-a-pro journey. 😉

Review of Estèe Lauder Clear Difference Complexion Perfecting BB Creme With SPF 35:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it’s a makeup day review, and I’m going to talk about the Estèe Lauder Clear Difference Complexion Perfecting BB Creme With SPF 35!
The Longest Name In The History of BB Creams… I think. 😉

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants a sheer-to-light coverage with a very natural look.

What’s good about it?

This BB cream is formulated to be particularly beneficial for concealing blemishes and pores, plus it contains some ingredients that can help with acne and repair sun-damaged skin.

I love the texture of this product! It feels weightless on your skin, and its satin-matte finish is great for those with normal or combination skin.

The Estèe Lauder Clear Difference Complexion Perfecting BB Creme With SPF 35 comes in 3 different shades:

01 – Light – this shade is a little peachy and maybe too dark for very fair skins;

02 – Medium – this is the best of all of the three shades offered, it’s a great light/beige, perfect for medium skin tones;

03 – Medium Deep – this is a tan/dark shade on the orangey side.

The SPF 35 sun protection is a nice addiction for anti-aging benefit.

You can also wear this BB cream alone or even under your favorite foundation.

I have to say that I use it especially during Spring/Summer days, when the weather is hot and the humidity is very high; it lasts all day, without making my skin more oily, so this BB cream is perfect for every day usage particularly during Spring/Summer months.

You can buy it here: US/UK IT UK

What’s not so good about it?

The limited shade range doesn’t compliment all skin tones, so it would be nice to have more options.

The texture is really good, creamy and lightweight, yet it takes a little bit more blending than normal to obtain a flawless application.

Also the fragrance. It’s not annoying, but it’s a little too much, at least for me. The scent is a subtle but persistent citrus fragrance that will keep you company until you’ll remove your makeup in the evening! Some people love it, but I would like this BB Cream even more if it was fragrance free.

Final thoughts!

I’m really impressed with this Estèe Lauder BB Creme, because ultimately it does exactly what it says: good oil control, great broad spectrum sun protection and a sheer to light coverage perfect for those with normal to slightly oily skin, with or without mild acne.

Review of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania and Intense Butter Gloss in Berry Strudel:

Hello everyone! 🙂 NYX is one of those brands that I’ve heard so much about and I’ve always wanted to try but never been able to find… until last month. So, when the post man arrived last week with my first NYX order from Feelunique I was really excited. Here are my reviews of my new NYX liquid lipsticks:

• NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania:

It’s a very bold and pigmented color between black and burgundy, a beautiful shade! The product has a creamy texture at first, but then the finish is really matte, and so comfortable to wear that once it’s dried down you forget it’s even there.

It has long lasting properties and the wand applicator is very easy to use (I have tested it and I can honestly say that it lasts for about 6 hours without fading – if you don’t eat or drink).

I would also say that the final result is almost like a light film of paint on your lips, absolutely amazing!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is a great, highly pigmented, long lasting and matte finish liquid lipstick that’s a true beauty bargain!

Ingredients:

Final vote:

•NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Berry Strudel:

I love the color and the sweet smell of this amazing lip gloss! In fact, all the Butter Gloss shades are named after desserts and they are lightly fragranced, too.

They are also highly pigmented and come in a great variety of sheer shades as well as some neutrals.

The NYX Intense Butter Gloss has a long lasting, moisturizing texture and the wand applicator is very easy to use (I have tested it and I can honestly say that it lasts for about 6 hours without fading – if you don’t eat or drink).

Keep in mind that this is a liquid lipstick and it has a very “fluid” creamy texture, so I would recommend using a lip contouring pencil before applying it because the product can bleed outside the lip lines after an hour or two of wearing it.

The only not-so-great-thing about the NYX Intense Butter Gloss is that it feels a little bit sticky at first, but once you’ve applied it and it’s dried down it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the lips.

Other than that, NYX Intense Butter Gloss is a good, highly pigmented and long lasting lip gloss that’s a true beauty bargain.

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eye Shadows Palette Review:

Hello everyone! 😉 It’s almost time for the New Year Eve party and we all know that we want an amazing look to make our friends say: ” Wow! Your makeup is awesome tonight!”.
So, I thought to review the perfect palette: The Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette.

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants an amazing palette with a versatile selection of shades for creating intense night-time looks as well as softer day-time eye shadows designs!

What’s good about it?

This palette, along with the others in the Urban Decay Naked line, has a great pigmentation, wears well throughout the day without fading or creasing and has a good texture too (between powdery and buttery in consistency).

In this palette you will find 12 eye shadows: 4 matte, 4 satin and 4 shades with sparkle.

As I said before, most of the shades have a smooth texture, a deep pigmentation and they also are very easy to blend. In fact, according to Urban Decay, each shade features the Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System, a proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, a serious staying power and blendability.

The included double-ended brush (available only in this palette) has a fluffy Crease Brush on one end and a smudging Smoky Brush on the other; both ends work well, and if you are traveling, this brush is enough to get you by.

If this palette was under your Christmas Tree but you are not so sure how to use it then don’t worry, because inside the box you will find a detailed tutorial look book with step by step instructions and four amazing ways to create an appropriate go-to-the-office look, an intense go-to-the-party smoky eyes look and everything in between.

•The 4 matte colors are:

-Thirteen (light beige satin)

-Combust (soft pink-taupe)

-Whiskey (rich brown)

-Password (cool taupe)
•The 4 satin colors are:

-Smolder (deep plum-taupe)

-Black Market (jet-black satin)

-Dagger (medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer)

-Slanted (light metallic gray)

•The 4 shades with sparkles are:

-Armor (metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle)

-Radar (metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter)

-Dirtysweet (medium bronze)

The packaging is also awesome! The case and the brush feature a cool “floating” smoky effect, with the words “Naked Smoky” on the top of the case.

The magnetic closure on the case prevents shadow mishaps in your bag, and the full-size mirror makes it easy to touch up your makeup wherever and whenever you want!

What’s not so good about it?

I have to say that this is an expensive palette, but it’s also an amazing product, so it’s definitely worth the price!

Also, 2 shades with sparkle, Armor and Radar, have a little fall-out when you put them on. For this reason I would recommend using a good eye primer to prepare your eyelids and solidify the wear of this shades. (FYI: I have oily eyelids, so I always use this palette with a good eye primer, and I can honestly say that my makeup lasts a whole day/night).

Final thoughts!

The Urban Decay Smoky Palette is, in my opinion, the perfect palette and a must have product!

P.S: If you own none of the others Urban Decay palettes and you are thinking of buying one, the Smoky Palette is the best choice because it’s definitely offers more look options than the others.
