H&M Beauty Haul:

Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about H&M beauty line, and obviously there will be some reviews, lots of them actually: 😉
The whole H&M beauty line has everything you will possibly need to satisfy your make up obsession, from brushes to lipsticks, bags to blushers.

If you are on a budget you have to check out this amazing and affordable beauty line, but even if you’re not I would recommend trying some of H&M beauty products because they are extremely good. So, next time you’re passing by, I highly recommend to go to an H&M shop that stocks their beauty products, and in case you need some shopping list inspiration, here are my top picks

– H&M All-Day Liquid Foundation.

This is a great foundation with a gorgeous flawless finish.

I bought it a couple of months ago, October if I remember correctly, and I have been using it since then; I really love it.

The packaging is also good, because the pump applicator works very well and dispenses the right amount of product you want. Moreover, the color range is great because you can chose from 11 different shades.

The lightweight, creamy liquid texture meshes well with skin for easy, smooth blending. Also the formula is comfortable with a light to medium coverage (but if you want more coverage you can certainly build it up).

Because of its liquid/cream-ish texture I would recommend using a foundation brush to blend it better, instead of a beauty blender sponge. Last, but surely not least, this is a fragrance free product and provides a broad-spectrum sun protection thanks to its SPF 15; amazing thing since SPF is really important and a lot of people prefer to apply it with their usual make up (e.g. foundation, BB creams etc.). Moreover, when it comes to wear time, this does last several hours without fading too much. What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. This is a very good and affordable foundation. It is, beyond doubt, a beauty bargain.

– H&M Global Fusion Eye Pot in Paw Paw Blossom (Limited Edition).

This is a great creamy eye shadow in a bold burgundy-metallic color with a warm undertone. This shade should be able to make your eyes truly pop, if you will blend it correctly. Moreover, it is the ideal choice for those seeking a versatile product that works great on its own as well as applied before or after a powder eye shadows for different effects (or to give the creamy eye shadow greater staying power). What’s particularly impressive about this H&M creamy eye shadow is its easy to apply, richly pigmented and smooth formula. Because it’s a creamy eyeshadow you need to be careful with your brushes, in fact I prefer to use my fingers to apply directly from the tub onto my eyelids and then blend the color perfectly with the help of the natural hands heat. Unfortunately this shade is no longer available, but you can still try the other eye cream colors.

What’s not so good about it:

If you don’t quickly apply the right amount of this product as needed to cover your entire eye area, you will quickly run into problems because the formula dries very fast. In other words, you have little time to blend, so you need to work fast and use it cautiously and with patience.

– H&M Jumbo Lip Pencil Lip color-to-go in Zinfandel.

I really enjoyed the shade of this Lip Pencil when I was wearing it, and I also was very impressed with the formula when I was reviewing it. The formula is in fact comfortable to wear, creamy, high pigmented and it offers hours of color-rich wear, even after your morning coffee break. The texture of this lip pencil is a perfect combo between a matte lip pencil and a creamy lipstick; the finish is lovely and it won’t dry out your lips, plus this shade is a must have for the winter season. Moreover, this product is very similar to NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, but way more affordable.

What’s not so good about it: The shade range is very limited, at least here in Italy.

– H&M Colour Essence Eye Pencil in Come In Third.

This is a gorgeous bronze kinda shade eye pencil with some shimmer in it. You really need to try this eye pencil, because it last for hours even in warm and humid weather conditions. The texture is really creamy and smooth, which makes it perfect to use on your lash line, like an eyeliner. But you can also blend this highlighting color on the center of your lids to give some 3D effect to your makeup.

What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. This is beyond doubt a beauty bargain.

– H&M Straight Defining Brush.

I was looking for a good straight brush; not round, oval or angled, but perfectly straight. So I decided to include this one in my last H&M beauty haul. So far, so good… I love it. It is a really good brush that has nothing to envy to the high end (and pricey) brushes on the market.

This brush has densely packed bristles with a flat, straight and horizontal end. This firm yet soft brush is cut to create a defined eyeshadow line close to your upper and lower lash line, or to blend and smooth out your eyebrow pencil.

What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. This is a well made and affordable brush; I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed with its performance. Another great beauty bargain from H&M!

– H&M Brush Cleanser Spray.

Generally I prefer to clean my make-up brushes and tools with a lot of water, neutral soap and the Start Maker Silicone Brush Cleaning Egg (my review here ), but some days I’m simply too tired or too lazy to even think about it, so enter the H&M Brush Cleanser Spray. This is a great and affordable spray that cleans, easily and fast, your make-up brushes. How to use: Spray directly onto the brush head and clean off with a paper tissue. What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. This is a great and, more important, affordable brush cleanser. Plus, its scent is really lovely.

Have you already tried something from the H&M beauty line? If so, let me know in the comments below! Have a great weekend.

My 5 favorites make up products of 2016:

Hello everyone! 2016 is finally over and we can now decide what makeup we used/liked the most.
My most used and loved makeup products of 2016 are five. I have already talked about some of them in my precedent posts, others are new discovery so there are going to be 2 new mini-review in this post. If you want to know which are my last makeup favorites products of 2016 keep reading.

The last makeup product that I bought in 2016 was the H&M Jumbo Lip Pencil “Lip color-to-go” in the shade “Zinfandel”.
What’s not so good about it: The shade range is very limited.

You can buy it here.
This is one of favorite eye shadow palette, and probably my no.1 makeup product of the year; the Morphe Brushes 35 Colour Plum Eye Shadow Palette (35P).
I especially love the wide selection of neutral and autumnal plum colors, amazing shades to achieve a broad spectrum of makeup effects. Moreover, I was honestly blown away by the great buttery texture of these eye shadows, and by the fact that the shades are as bright on the eyelids as you can see in the palette.
What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. This is beyond doubt a beauty bargain.

You can read my more in-depth review here (with swatches, of course).
Next I have to mention my beloved make up brushes.
I use multiple brands and I always test them in every weather condition, with different products, etc. I’ve also found out that if you wet them with a little spritz of fixing mist, before applying your makeup product, the result will be perfect and long lasting. All of my most used makeup brushes are lovely to use, cruelty free and have a great quality.
What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really. But remember to properly and frequently wash your makeup brushes after using them.

I did a full review here , if you are interested.

Now I’m going to talk about the wonderful Pastello Pencils and the Manga Brow Pencil from Neve Makeup Cosmetics.
I would really recommend these pencils from this particular “made in Italy” brand because their quality is outstanding, but they are also very affordable. Neve Makeup Cosmetics lips/eyes/brows pencils are perfect for everyone who wants a creamy, matte, long lasting and very pigmented product. Moreover, their formula is natural, cruelty-free and suitable for vegans. I very much LOVE this pencils.
What’s not so good about it: Nothing, really! The quality and the price tag of these pencils is awesome, they really are a beauty bargain! The only “negative” point is that you have to sharpen them with a lip pencil sharpener after a couple of applications, that means that some product is wasted each time you are going to do that.

Here is my full review.

The last but not least new product that I have bought last year is a mini-size of the notorious Hoola Bronzer from Benefit. I’ve got mine in the travel size version as a free gift from purchasing other Benefit products. I’ve used it since last September and I’ve happily found out that the shade is perfect for my fair skin type. I usually apply it to achieve a believable, light and almost natural tan color on my face, after applying my foundation. I also use it sometimes as a contouring powder to shape and define my cheeks. I love Hoola also because it has a smooth texture, lightly perfect shiny finish, and a lovely shade that is very flattering on fair skin. So, in conclusion, this is an excellent bronzing powder and I will definitely repurchase the full size version!
What’s not so good about it: I would certainly recommend it, but the Hoola Bronzer is a pricey product so try it before buying it.

You can find it here.

My 7 Essential MakeUp Brushes and How To Use Them:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it’s a makeup day review, because we are going to talk about my most used and loved makeup brushes and tools! 🙂

First things first, I have a lovely brush roll case from The Vintage Cosmetic Company, to keep all of my make up brushes neat and tidy at home or away. It’s really a cute case with a Spring-ish pattern of flowers printed all over it . It has 12 separate sections to hold each brush in place (but I manage to fit more than 12 in it). 🙂

•You can find the The Vintage Cosmetic Company Brush Roll here.

These are my must-have, favourite brushes at the moment:

P.S: I have collected them from various shops just to see what brand I love the most, what I hate and what I like, so this is a good handful of favourites…

1- Real Technique Setting Brush: The medium size and the rounded shape of this brush are ideal for setting powders and easy blending. This particular brush has a luxuriously soft feel and perfectly balanced density that makes blending effortless and smooth.

The well-crafted brushes of Real Technique are famous and award winning tools; there isn’t a bad brush in this brand, they are all aces when it comes to shape, feel, and, most importantly, performance. Plus they are cruelty free because they are made of synthetic bristles.

How To Use It:

– Apply Powder

– Apply and Blend Blush, Bronzer or Highligther

– Contouring

P.S: I love this brand and I highly recommend it, even if a few days ago my amazing Grooming Brush broke in two parts (I don’t even know way), and I had to throw it away, so sad! 😦

2 – Kiko Eyes Brush n.207: This small brush has a dome shape with a slightly pointed end. It is perfect for the precise application of eyeshadows along the line of the eyelashes, in the outer corner and in the crease of the eye. Moreover, it has densely packed and soft hairs that do a great job of picking up and applying powder eyeshadow.

How To Use It:

– Apply Eyeshadows Into Tight Spaces

– Apply Highlighter To Eyes

– Blend or Smudge Eyeshadows Or Eye Pencils

7 – Kiko Precision Foundation Sponges: A classic triangular sponge for makeup application. It easily spreads liquid, cream, and gel foundations, or similar products across the face for a quick and smooth coverage. The pointed tips also works extremely well for applying creamy/gel products in smaller areas like the corners of the eyes or on the sides of the nose. As far as the texture goes, this is a firm, but also soft and flexible sponge, made with hypoallergenic material and latex-free. They are sold in blocks of 4 detachable sponges.

How To Use It:

– Wet or Dry to Apply Creamy, Liquid or Gel Foundation/Products

– The Flat Part To Apply Products Evenly Over The Entire Surface of The Face

– The Angled Part To Apply Products To the More Hard-to-reach corners of The Face

Both the Eye Brush and the Sponges are great quality tools. They are also easy to clean and they maintain their shape through washing and drying. Plus, they are really affordable, hence a beauty bargain!

3 – Sephora Pro Bent Liner Brush n. 23:
I have already did a mini review of this brush here. Anyway, it has an elbow-shaped ferrule to easily draw on gel or liquid liner.

How To Use It:

– Apply a Precise and Firm Line of Your Favourite Gel or Liquid Eye Liner

I really love how it works, it is great to create an easy, precise, firm and flawless line of your favourite gel or liquid liner. Moreover, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed with its performance and longevity.

Plus, it is cruelty free because it is made of synthetic Taklon fibers.

4 – H&M Eye Shadow Brush (or Flat Shader Eyeshadow Brush):

This brush has densely packed bristles with a flat, slightly rounded end. Also, this sturdy, firm yet soft brush is cut to be workable as a good tool to apply eyeshadow along the lashline, and/or to pack it onto the lid in a patting motion.

How To Use It:

– Apply A Single Eyeshadow To A Small Area

– Blend Eyeshadows Together

– Apply Creamy Eyeshadows or Concealer

Though H&M brushes don’t quite match the quality of the Real Technique brushes, they are well made, affordable and you won’t be disappointed with their performance. They are a really beauty bargain!

5 – The Body Shop Lipstick & Concealer Brush: This brush has extremely dense and ultra-soft bristles that feel exceptionally luxurious on the skin. Moreover, its cruelty-free synthetic bristles won’t retain moisture from liquid or creamy product, so you get a smooth and more even application.

How To Use It:

– Apply Lipstick

– Apply Concealer or Creamy Eyeshadows To A Small Area

– Blend or Smudge Lip Pencils To Fill the Lips

I adore Body Shop Brushes, they are really high quality tools! They work extremely well, they are affordable, considering the great quality, and maintained properly, this brushes will last you for years. I highly recommend them.

6- Essence Eye Blender Brush: This is a small, fluffy brush with a rounded end. Its soft, long yet dense bristles are ideal for blending and/or applying eyeshadow.

How To Use It:

– Apply Eyeshadow

– Blend Eyeshadow Colors Together

– Blend Eyeshadow To Create Soft Lines

Though it doesn’t quite match the quality of the Real Technique brushes, this is a very good, affordable drugstore brand to start your I-do-my-makeup-like-a-pro journey. 😉
