Stationery and Co. Spring Ideas:

Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about something more colorful and relaxing than makeup and skincare; hand lettering, stationery and colorful pens. Yeah for Spring Season!
First of all I’m going to say that I get the majority of my ideas and creative inspirations from Pinterest, where I always find amazing tips and tricks.

So, in this post I will show you some great color pens, a bunch of lovely notebooks, and a lot of black pens with different tip sizes to write motivational quotes or to draw cute illustrations in your bullet journal.

I will also talk about my picks for a good starter pack for those girls that would love to have a cute and colorful planner or bullet journal, but don’t know how to properly start one. Hope that this will help a little bit!

A cute clear notebook.

You can use it as a notebook-meets-bullet journal, or to write inspiring quotes, or whatever words you feel the need to put down on paper. It is a very helpful tool because you can keep track of your daily meetings, appointments, tasks etc., and also it can be a very good synthesis of your best personal ideas and strategies to improve and organize your daily life. Moreover, it’s so refreshing and calming to write, in your own handwriting, whatever you want in a beautiful journal, after spending so much of our day (and sometimes night) online, on devices and apps.

 – My beloved black Sakura Pigma Micron Fine Pens in the numbers 005, 01, 02, 05.

These are excellent drawing pens that are also pretty good for writing, too. They have a precise, strong and consistent line with a great pigmented ink that is fade resistant and will not smudge or transfer/stain the paper below. They’re available in red, green, blue and, of course, black. Moreover, the barrel is a good comfortable length, the cap posts securely and the weight is just fine.

– Color Pens Giotto Turbo Giant and Turbo Glitter in Pastel.

I have been searching for these color pens for a very long time, then a couple of days ago I have finally found them… yeah!!! The Turbo Giant have a felt-tip that writes a 1mm line. The shades are super pastel, so light and spring-ish, but the ink is great because it writes and color in very well and doesn’t stain the back of your sheet.

The Turbo Glitter, on the other hand, have a fun and bright colors thanks mostly to the glitters in the ink (so your words will spark under the lights or glow under the sun like a unicorn mane ;-). But you have to be careful with these one because if you put down too much pressure you can easily stain the paper below.

The amazing Guangdong Genvana Brush Pens.

I have recently bought these amazing brush pens on Amazon. I have them in three different tips sizes:

– the first one has a medium tip size;

– the second one has a long brush tip that gives a sharply defined line with wide variation in width. It’s possible to get very fine lines, with care, and, on the other hand, big broad strokes;

– the last one has a hard fairly fine tip (this one gives a good sharp and consistent line).

I really like their ink because it’s the best I have ever used with a good pigmented color that will dry fairly quickly and then fade a bit with a textured brush effect. These great brush pens have a good brush tip, but you need to be careful and put down just the right amount of ink; too much pressure and you can easily stain the paper below.

Some cute and colorful washi tapes.

I love washi tapes! I always use them to decorate my bullet journal and my Filofax organiser. It’s a relaxing 5 minutes hobby and during a blue Monday (or any other “blue” day, actually) you can look at them and smile a little bit.

– Post-It Notes in different shapes and Letters Stamps.

For a little vintage touch I love to use Letters Stamps. And Post-It Notes in different shapes are great to stick everywhere on your bullet journal just for fun or as reminders for important appointments/dates.

This is it, my cute, funny and useful bullet journal guide kit. I hope you will like it.

So, what about you? Have you ever used a bullet journal?

How do you decorate it? I would love to hear you ideas!

Review of Neve Cosmetics Pastello Pencils and Manga Brow Eyebrow Pencil:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today it is a makeup day review, so we are going to talk about the Pastello Pencils and the Manga Brow Pencil from Neve Makeup Cosmetics. 🙂

Who is it for?

Everyone who wants creamy, matte, long lasting and very pigmented lips/eyes/brows pencils that also have an outstanding quality, are really affordable and suitable for vegans.

What’s good about it?

I have used Neve Cosmetics Pastello Pencils for almost 2 years now and I love them; they are really amazing!

Their formula is natural and silicones, petrolatum and parabens free. They are also cruelty-free and suitable for vegans.

I have the Pastello Eyeliner Liquirizia/Black, which is a classic deep black pencil with a matte finish. This pencil is perfect to use as a classic eye pencil, eyeliner or as a base to create a great smokey eyes makeup. It has a slightly creamy texture that blends on smoothly on your eyelids with a matte color finish that lasts throughout the day/night without bleeding!

I also have the Pastello Lipcolor Pencils in Sfilata/Amaranth, Confetto/Lilac, Pianeta/Purple and Coccinella/Pink. This lip pencils also have a slightly creamy texture that blends on evenly on the lips with a matte finish that sets instantly and won’t budge all day/night long. Moreover, these pencils do a great job keeping lipsticks from bleeding outside the lip lines, and when applied as a base coat to the lips, they also help your lipstick last longer, even through lunch, brunch, dinner, aperitif, night drink, afternoon tea etc. etc. 😉

They are also amazing used on their own as a lip color, but if you like to wear them as a lip color I would recommend applying a good lip balm underneath because they can be quite drying. [You can read a post about my favourite lip balms here].

The shade range is great and includes various tones that complement most lipstick colors.

I also love the Neve Cosmetics Pastello Pencils because, thanks to their natural formula, you can use them everywhere on your skin, on your eyes and on your lips… you can truly unleash your makeup creativity! 🙂

For example, I often use the eye pencils on the lips under a coordinated lipstick; they do an amazing job as well and last all day/night! 😉

Last, but not least, for my brows I use the great Neve Cosmetics Manga Brow Eyebrow Pencil. They are double-ended wooden pencils with two colors, one light and the other darker, and a spoolie brush to draw and tame the eyebrows. I love this Manga Brow Pencil because is perfect to create full eyebrows that look natural, plus is easy to use, affordable and long lasting. First I go for the lighter color to draw the shape of my eyebrow, then I use the darker color to add definition and fill in the empty areas using light strokes. Last I comb my eyebrows with the included brow brush. I have this one in the shade warm blonde and soft brown, but they come in 5 different shades suitable for all eyebrows tones.

•You can buy them here.

*unfortunately some of the shades I have mentioned in this post are no longer available, so sorry! But you can choose similar colors from the new collection.

What’s not so good about it?

Nothing, really! The quality of these pencils is amazing, the formula is vegan and they are also low-cost; a really beauty bargain! The only “negative” point about this products is that you will have to sharpen them with a lip pencil sharpener after a couple of applications. That means that some product is wasted each time you sharpen them, but it is really a minor issue thanks to the low and affordable price of these products.

Final thoughts!

If you are looking for low-cost lips/eyes/brows pencils that have a good quality and long lasting properties look no further, these are perfect. I promise you want be disappointed! Note to myself: buy soon other shades of these amazing pencils! 😉

Review of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania and Intense Butter Gloss in Berry Strudel:

Hello everyone! 🙂 NYX is one of those brands that I’ve heard so much about and I’ve always wanted to try but never been able to find… until last month. So, when the post man arrived last week with my first NYX order from Feelunique I was really excited. Here are my reviews of my new NYX liquid lipsticks:

• NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania:

It’s a very bold and pigmented color between black and burgundy, a beautiful shade! The product has a creamy texture at first, but then the finish is really matte, and so comfortable to wear that once it’s dried down you forget it’s even there.

It has long lasting properties and the wand applicator is very easy to use (I have tested it and I can honestly say that it lasts for about 6 hours without fading – if you don’t eat or drink).

I would also say that the final result is almost like a light film of paint on your lips, absolutely amazing!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is a great, highly pigmented, long lasting and matte finish liquid lipstick that’s a true beauty bargain!

•NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Berry Strudel:

I love the color and the sweet smell of this amazing lip gloss! In fact, all the Butter Gloss shades are named after desserts and they are lightly fragranced, too.

They are also highly pigmented and come in a great variety of sheer shades as well as some neutrals.

The NYX Intense Butter Gloss has a long lasting, moisturizing texture and the wand applicator is very easy to use (I have tested it and I can honestly say that it lasts for about 6 hours without fading – if you don’t eat or drink).

Keep in mind that this is a liquid lipstick and it has a very “fluid” creamy texture, so I would recommend using a lip contouring pencil before applying it because the product can bleed outside the lip lines after an hour or two of wearing it.

The only not-so-great-thing about the NYX Intense Butter Gloss is that it feels a little bit sticky at first, but once you’ve applied it and it’s dried down it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the lips.

Other than that, NYX Intense Butter Gloss is a good, highly pigmented and long lasting lip gloss that’s a true beauty bargain.

Back to school stationery must have:

Hello everyone! 🙂 Summer is winding down with the holidays, therefore the sadness and the need to cheer us up. So, how about going to a stationery store and buy some colored and cute stuff for our back to school time!I thought I should write a list of things that might be helpful for taking notes or write down the key-words of the lessons. 😉

1- In the first place you will need a case to hold your pencil, your pen, your highlighters, your mints, your candies, ups… 😉

2- Colored pens to write the title of the lesson and recognize it when you will return home and be like a zombie in “The Walking Dead“.

3- Highlighters to mark important passages of a dialogue when you got a little distracted (this morning outside the window the sky was really blue)!

4- A black and a red pen to write the important words of your teacher on your sheet, as long as the lesson doesn’t become boring and you begin to draw.

5- Glue, to stick everything in place and not on your friend’s arm.

6- A cute little ruler to draw straight lines when math begins to go out of control.

7- A cute eraser because you know you will need it in the hard times.

8- A pencil when you are not sure about it.

9- A little page marker like this pink arrow to open quickly the exercise book and always be on top of things!

10- If you don’t want to miss anything and be a… “good girl”, you can use some super sticky post-it, so they won’t come off easily.

11- And a daily calendar to know everything you are going to do the next day, or maybe even the next week if you are a cute little red fish!

Ciao a tutti!

Review of the Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua and the Sephora Eyeliner Brush nr° 23 :

Hello everyone! 🙂 Today is MONDAYagain… how depressing! So, let’s keep calm and pretend it’s not Monday… AGAIN! Let’s talk about magic, magic makeup! 😉I’m going to talk about the Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua and the Sephora Eyeliner Brush nr° 23! 🙂

Little premise as always: I have oily eyelids so the need to use a good primer in that area has always been a must for me, otherwise my makeup will melt away during the day.

Who are them for?

I would recommend this eyeliner to anyone who wants a product that, once dry, stays in place for all day long and it is waterproof, too. The brush is also perfect for anyone who wants a tool that makes applying gel or cream eyeliner so much easier!

What’s good about them?

I have tried almost every gel liner known “on the planet Earth” and now I have found the one that’s perfect for me! 🙂

The color of the Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua is a beautiful deep black. Moreover, it recreates the fluidity of a liquid liner in the easy way of a gel product.

In fact, this gel is easy to work with and it also creates a smooth and beautiful line from the first application.

It’s a water-resistant formula so you can go wherever you want with this; in fact, it stays put all day and doesn’t smudge off either.

Also, the product remains fresh in the pot even after months of use!

The texture is pretty good and it’s amazing to use with a good fine liner brush.

Speaking of which, I found a brush at Sephora for the Precision Gel Liner that creates the perfect combo! The tip of the Sephora Eyeliner Brush nr° 23 is elbow-shaped, this means that you can tuck the ferrule of the brush under your lashes and allow the tip to trace the cleanest line you ever made. It will allow you to put on your eyeliner in a sec and it’s also easy to clean. I really adore it and I can guarantee that you will fall in love with the brush nr° 23, too!

P.S: The ferrule is the brass part between the handle and the bristles.

You can buy the Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua on their official website .

You will find the Eyeliner Brush nr° 23 in your Sephora store, but if you want to take a look or buy it online, here it is

What’s not so good about them?

Nothing really, the Gel Liner by Illamasqua and the Sephora Brush are two wonderful products! I just wish the eyeliner came in more colors!

Final thoughts!
I must say that the Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua is by far the best gel liner I have come across. Also you get a lot of product in the pot, so it’s worth the price tag! I don’t think I would ever go back to the others now that I found this little black magic gel! Moreover, like I said before, it creates an amazing combo with the Sephora Eyeliner Brush nr° 23.

What’s in the Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua?

ISODODECANE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, POLYETHYLENE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, SORBITAN SESQUIOLEATE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYPHENYL DIMETHICONE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, LECITHIN, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, POLYSORBATE 20, BARIUM SULFATE, PHENOXYETHANOL [+/- MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR: IRON OXIDES (CI 77499), BLACK 2 (CI 77266)].

Ciao a tutti! 🙂

Cosa c’è nel Precision Gel Liner in Infinity by Illamasqua?

Ingredienti:

ISODODECANE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, POLYETHYLENE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, SORBITAN SESQUIOLEATE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYPHENYL DIMETHICONE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, LECITHIN, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, POLYSORBATE 20, BARIUM SULFATE, PHENOXYETHANOL [+/- MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR: IRON OXIDES (CI 77499), BLACK 2 (CI 77266)].
