Hello everyone! 🙂 Today we are going to talk about my favorite Spring lipsticks:
• Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Violet:
This is a super comfortable liquid lipstick with a really matte finish that won’t dry out your lips. Also, its lightweight formula makes this product very comfortable to wear.
This comes in a squeeze tube with a sponge angled applicator that dispenses the product, so it applies easily.
The gel-like texture is smooth, extraordinary pigmented and stays on your lips for hours, no need to use a similar lip-pencil.
The quality of the color is very good; you do not need too much product to get a beautiful shade on your lips.
P.S: After approximately 4/5 hours the color is going to fade to an attractive stain, so then you will need to go for a quick re-touch. 😉
This is a gorgeous coral/peachy shade that I really enjoy using especially during the hot Spring/Summer days.
The texture is silky, with the hydrating feeling of a lip balm; the color is very rich, pigmented as a lipstick – so I would say that YSL Rouge Volupté is a hybrid between a classic lipstick and a good lip balm.
Is really comfortable to wear, but the creamy texture can easily move into the fine lines around your mouth, so I would recommend using a lip contour pencil.
Yes, this is a designer luxury product, so it’s pricey, but I can assure you that this is an amazing product and it’s worth your money!
This lipstick will last on your lips approximately 5/6 hours, without eating or drinking! 😉
This is the perfect summer pink shade, at least for me!
I really love the creamy texture and the semi-matte finish of this lipstick. Also, thanks to a great silicone-based formula, you will get an impressive amount of staying power, 5/6 hours without a re-touch.
This richly pigmented lipstick has a really creamy texture, yet is also lightweight and beautifully silky.
Again, even this one is a luxury product, so it’s really expensive, but I can assure you that this is an awesome product and it’s definitely worth your money!
No lip contour pencil needed for this one! 🙂
This is an “unusual” shade that maybe not everyone will like or buy, but you know me, I’m obsessed with lipsticks and the more strange they are the most I love them! 😉
This is supposed to be a deep blue, but on my lips the color it’s kind of an indigo shade; I think it depends on your lips and the differences between natural or artificial light.
The finish is truly matte, so it’s bit drying, too; you will definitely need to apply a good lip balm underneath this one. [A few months ago I did a post about my favorite lip balms here].
This shade is gorgeous, at least in my opinion, very bold and deeply pigmented. It also provides a full-coverage color and really matte/non-glossy finish.
The problem with this lipstick is in the way it wears, and fades. Sadly, it fades unevenly, and only after a couple of hours, it begins to flake on your lips, so you will have to not only re-touch it, but literally re-apply the product again. 😦
No lip pencil needed with this one, but I would recommend, at least, a similar lip contour pencil.
I know, this is not a classic lipstick, but it is an amazing product for the hot Spring/Summer days/nights; it’s perfect when you want a natural but also a little bit shiny look for a casual night out.
This lip product is soothing, shiny without being too sticky and has a really great sponge-tip applicator.
Also, it is designed to nourish, protect and soften the lips, which it does, extremely well.
So, in the end, I would say that this is an emollient, gel-like lip gloss that moisturizes while imparting sheer, a little juicy color and a minimally sticky feeling. Plus, I really love the scent of this lip oil, it makes me think of a raspberry pie!:)
This is pricey for a “simple” lip moisturizing product, but you will only need a tiny amount on your lips, so a little bit goes a long way. And it’s worth your money because in the end your lips will be luminous, hydrated and very kissable! 😉
